Removal Procedure

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.

    3. Object Number: 291476 Size: SH
  3. Use a blunt tool in order to unsnap the dimmer switch (1) from the trim plate.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the dimmer (1).
  5. Remove the switch (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 291476 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the dimmer switch (1).
  2. Install the dimmer switch (1) into the trim plate.
  3. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
