Important: A short to ground will cause an open fuse(s). Before performing this diagnostic procedure, Inspect the fuse(s) for a open.

  1. Disconnect the remote control door lock receiver connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal P of the remote control door lock receiver connector and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Connect a test lamp between terminal N and terminal P of the remote control door lock receiver connector.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 4

Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the left IP wiring harness junction block with a test lamp between terminal A11 of connector C3 and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Receiver Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 850 between the remote control door lock receiver and ground splice pack G402. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open in CKT 1040 between the remote control door lock receiver and the left IP wiring harness junction block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the left IP wiring harness junction block. Refer to Relay/Fuse Center Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
