Important: A short to ground will cause an open fuse(s). Before performing this diagnostic procedure, Inspect the fuse(s) for a open.

  1. Disconnect the remote control door lock receiver connector.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal P and terminal R of the remote control door lock receiver connector.

Do the doors lock?

Go to Step 2

Replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Receiver Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Use a fused jumper in order to backprobe the left IP wiring harness junction block between terminal B3 of connector C3 and the positive battery voltage.

Do the doors lock?

Go to Step 4

Repair the open in CKT 195 between the remote control door lock receiver and the left IP wiring harness junction block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Replace the left IP wiring harness junction block. Refer to Relay/Fuse Center Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
