Removal Procedure
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Remove the door water deflector. Refer to
Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the screws securing the door lock actuator.
- Remove the door locking
system module nuts (8).
- Remove the door locking system module bolt (6).
- Remove the door locking system module (5) from the door.
Installation Procedure
- Install the door locking
system module (5) to the studs on the door frame.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the door
locking system module bolt (6).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the door locking system module nuts (8).
Tighten
Tighten the nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Install the screws securing the door lock actuator.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connectors.
- Install the door water deflector. Refer to
Door Water Deflector Replacement

- Install the door trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
