Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the drive cables. Refer to Seat Horizontal and Vertical Drive Cable Replacement .
  2. Manually adjust the adjuster to the full up position.
  3. Remove the vertical actuator jackscrew nuts.
  4. Remove the screws from the upper channel.
  5. Remove the vertical actuator from the upper channel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the vertical actuator to the upper channel.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Secure the vertical actuator using the screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the vertical actuator screws to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  5. Install the vertical actuator jackscrew nuts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the vertical actuator jackscrew nuts to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

  7. Install the drive cables. Refer to Seat Horizontal and Vertical Drive Cable Replacement .
  8. Verify that the adjusters are in phase. Refer to Seat Adjuster Phase Adjustment .
