Cooler Pipe Seal Remover
Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle . Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the transmission oil cooler pipes from the transmission. Refer to
Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Pipes Replacement
.
- Remove the cooler pipe bracket stud.
- Remove the oil cooler line bracket stud.
Installation Procedure
- Install the
J 41239-1A
on the transmission case using cooler pipe bracket stud
hole.
- Press the new seals in. Tighten the
J 41239-1A
until the seal bottoms out in the case bore.
- Install the cooler pipe bracket stud.
- Install the transmission oil cooler pipes. Refer to

.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to
Transmission Fluid Check
.
- Operate the engine for 2 or 3 minutes.
- Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to
Transmission Fluid Check
.
Important: It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.
Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, The ECM, PCM or TCM will
need to relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.
