Diagnostic System Check - Entertainment System
Perform the Vehicle Diagnostic System Check before proceeding with these diagnostic procedures. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
Scan Tool Parameter
The scan tool DVD data display list will indicate button presses on the remote control.
| • | Make sure that the batteries in the remote control are fully charged. |
| • | Make sure that the batteries in the remote control are installed properly. |
| • | Install the scan tool. |
| • | Play a DVD in the DVD player. |
| • | Using DVD data display on the scan tool, monitor the button presses. |
Replace the remote control as appropriate.
If the scan tool does not indicate the proper button presses when using a known good remote control , then replace the DVD Player. Refer to Video Disc Player Replacement .
