Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
  2. Partially remove the front door weather-strip. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1179350 Size: SH
  3. Remove the cover from the garnish trim fasteners.

    4. Object Number: 1179322 Size: SH
  4. Remove the garnish trim fasteners.

    5. Object Number: 1179406 Size: SH
  5. Starting at the top, remove the windshield garnish trim by pulling straight out.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1179406 Size: SH
  1. Starting at the bottom, install the windshield garnish trim.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1179322 Size: SH
  2. Install the garnish trim fastener.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 3 N·m (26 lb in).

  3. Install the cover to the garnish trim fastener.
  4. Install the front door weather-strip. Refer to Front Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement .
  5. Enable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling in SIR.
