Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the I/P outer trim covers. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement .
  3. Remove the I/P left trim panels. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  4. Remove the I/P right trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  5. Remove the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
  6. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  7. Remove the cluster trim bezel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
  8. Remove the cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
  9. Remove the I/P center trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement .
  10. Remove the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement or HVAC Control Module Replacement in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
  11. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  12. Remove the ignition switch wire harness connectors. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement .
  13. Remove the park lock cable at the ignition switch. Refer to Park Lock Cable Replacement in Automatic Transaxle - 4T40-E/4T45-E.

  14. Remove the I/P trim pad screws.
  15. Move the I/P trim pad enough to access the ambient light sensor.
  16. Remove the ambient light sensor. Refer to Ambient Light Sensor Replacement in Lighting Systems.

  17. Remove the I/P pad.
  18. Remove the ignition switch from the I/P pad. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement .

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the ignition switch from the I/P pad. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 1207564 Size: SH
  2. Install the I/P pad.
  3. Install the ambient light sensor. Refer to Ambient Light Sensor Replacement in Lighting Systems.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Tighten the I/P trim pad screws.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  5. Install the park lock cable at the ignition switch. Refer to Park Lock Cable Replacement in Automatic Transaxle-4T40-E/4T45-E.
  6. Install the ignition switch wire harness connectors. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement .
  7. Install the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
  8. Install the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement or HVAC Control Module Replacement in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  9. Install the I/P center trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement .
  10. Install the cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
  11. Install the cluster trim bezel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
  12. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  13. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
  14. Install the I/P right trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  15. Install the I/P left trim panels. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  16. Install the I/P outer trim covers. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement .
  17. Install the I/P upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
