Automatic Transmission Control Indicator Replacement for Chevrolet Malibu 2005

1. Remove the shift knob. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement .
2. Remove the illumination lamp from the shift indicator.
3. Depress the retaining tabs holding that retain the shift indicator, using a screwdriver or other appropriate tool.



4. Raise the shift indicator off of the shift control base.

1. Install the new shift indicator over the shift control shaft and snap in the retaining features to the shift control base.
2. Install the illumination lamp into the shift indicator.
3. Install the shift knob. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement .
