This PI was superseded to revise the repair procedures. Please discard PIC4221.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

You may notice that the NEW turn signal sockets will have only 3 wires, and the original sockets will have more then 3 wires. This is due to a redesign of the socket. The original socket design had a double crimp terminal for the ground circuits.

Splice the 2 black wires together in the housing into the new socket. These 2 black wires are the socket grounds.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
