Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Disconnect the engine fuel feed pipe from the chassis fuel flex hose. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  3. Object Number: 1239037  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the engine fuel feed pipe from the Fuel Rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Remove the two fuel feed pipe fasteners.
  6. Remove the engine fuel feed pipe.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1239037  Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel feed pipe to the fuel rail Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the engine fuel feed pipe fasteners located on the engine.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel feed pipe fasteners to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the engine fuel feed pipe to the chassis fuel flex hose. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  7. Inspect for leaks using the following procedure:
  8. 5.1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
    5.2. Inspect for fuel leaks.
    5.3. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
    5.4. Turn ON the ignition.
