Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Verify that the driver door power window is inoperative.

Does the driver door power window operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Are the left rear and right rear windows inoperative also?

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 4

1. Disconnect the driver window motor.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. Probe the power window motor left front up circuit of the driver window motor with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
4. Activate the driver window switch to the UP position.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 6

1. Connect a test lamp between the power window motor left front up circuit of the driver window motor and the power window motor left front down circuit of the driver window motor.
2. Activate the driver window switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 8

Test the power window motor left front up circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 13

Go to Step 9

Test the power window motor left front down circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 13

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window motor. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 13

Go to Step 11

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 13

Go to Step 12

Repair the open in the accessory voltage circuit of the driver window switch. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 13

Replace the driver window motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Motor Replacement .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 13

Replace the driver window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement - Left Side .

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 13

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
