Did you review the Heated Seat System Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections?

  1. Turn ON the ignition.
  2. Operate the heated seat switch in the 1, 2, and OFF switch positions.

Does the heated seat system operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Operate the heated seat switch to the OFF position.

Is the heated seat switch indicator illuminated?

--

  1. Disconnect the heated seat switch connector.
  2. Measure the voltage of the heated seat switch signal circuit of the connector.

Is the voltage at or near the specified value ?

12 V

Test the heated seat switch signal circuit for a short to voltage. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the heated seat switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
