Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 658944  Size: SH
  1. Remove the closeout panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the park brake warning lamp switch.

  3. Object Number: 1318636  Size: SH
  4. Remove the park brake warning lamp switch screw (3).
  5. Remove the park brake warning lamp switch (2) from the park brake pedal assembly (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1318636  Size: SH
  1. Install the park brake warning lamp switch (2) to the park brake pedal assembly (1).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the park brake warning lamp switch screw (3).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector to the park brake warning lamp switch.
  6. Install the closeout panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  7. Check the operation of the park brake warning lamp switch.
