Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2006 🢒 Malibu 🢒 Restraints 🢒 SIR 🢒 Rear Split Folding Seat Back Bolster Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
  2. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1219148 Size: SH
  3. Remove the rear seat release cables from the shelf panel.

    4. Object Number: 1284505 Size: SH
  4. Remove the mounting fasteners from the upper seat back bolster.
  5. Remove the mounting fasteners from the lower seat back bolster.
  6. Remove the seat back bolster assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1284505 Size: SH
  1. Install the seat back bolster assembly in the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the mounting fasteners to the lower seat back bolster.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

  3. Install the mounting fasteners to the upper seat back bolster.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 28 N·m (20 lb ft).

  4. Install the rear seat release cables to the shelf panel.
  5. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement .
  6. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
