Front Fog Lamp Replacement Base
Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the front fog lamp assembly.
- Twist the bulb about ¼ turn counterclockwise.
- Remove the fog lamp bulb from the lamp housing.
- Remove the nuts mounting the front fog lamp assembly to the lower grille.
- Remove the fog lamp assembly from the lower grille.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fog lamp assembly to the lower front grille.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front fog lamp mounting nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
- Install the fog lamp bulb into the lamp housing.
- Twist the bulb about ¼ turn clockwise to lock the bulb into the housing.
- Connect the electrical connector to the fog lamp assembly.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Inspect the fog lamp alignment. Adjust the alignment if necessary. Refer to
Fog Lamp Aiming
.

- Remove either the LF or RF front fender liner. Refer to
Front Fender Liner Replacement
- Disconnect fog lamp bulb socket electrical connector.

| Front Fog Lamp Adjuster Screw
Tip
- Remove the adjuster screw from the fog lamp bracket and lamp assembly.
- Count the number of turns when removing the adjuster screw for a reference upon installation
- Aim the fog lamp after installation. Refer to
Fog Lamp Aiming
.

Tighten 2 N·m (18 lb in) |

| Front Fog Lamp Assembly
Tip Remove the lamp assembly from the fog lamp bracket. |

| Front Fog Lamp Bulb
Caution: Refer to Halogen Bulb Caution in the Preface section.
Tip Turn the bulb socket counter clockwise and remove from lamp assembly. |
