Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the catalytic converter (LE5). Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1998675 Size: SH
  3. Remove the transaxle brace bolts (1, 3).
  4. Remove the transaxle brace (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1998675 Size: SH
  1. Install the transaxle brace (2).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the transaxle brace bolt (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the transaxle brace bolt (3).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).

  4. Install the catalytic converter (LE5). Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
