Preliminary Procedures

1. Use a J 25070 Heat Gun in a circular motion to warm the roof panel joint finish molding prior to removal. Carefully clean the roof ditch thoroughly with 50 / 50 mixture by volume of clean drinkable water and isopropyl alcohol prior to bonding the new roof panel quarter reveal molding to the roof.
2. Dry the roof ditch with a clean lint free cloth.
3. Ensure the roof panel trough is at least 19°C (66°F) prior to installing the roof ditch reveal molding.

Roof Panel Quarter Reveal Molding Assembly

Procedure

1. Pull approximately 6 inches of the adhesive backed liner from the roof ditch molding.
2. Insert the front tab under the windshield reveal molding.
3. Align the quarter reveal molding to the roof ditch channel.
4. Pull the adhesive tape liner while applying the molding into the ditch.
5. Use a small roller type tool or a clean dry shop towel and hand pressure on the molding to ensure the roof ditch reveal molding is free from any air bubbles working from front to rear.
