The starter/generator control module (SGCM) monitors the temperature sensor circuit to detect shorted low or high failure.
The engine is running.
The internal temperature sensor output voltage less than 0.2 volt for 1 second.
The internal temperature sensor output voltage greater than 4.6 volts for 1 second.
• | 50 percent maximum torque limit. |
• | APM 50 percent maximum current output. |
Return to normal range for 10 seconds.
Possible internal sensor short to ground or open.
Possible internal short to voltage or open.

⇒ | If the SGCM coolant pump does not operate refer to SGCM Coolant Pump Malfunction. |
⇒ | If the DTC resets, replace the SGCM. |
⇒ | If less than the specified value, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If the test lamp does not turn ON and OFF when commanded, test the control circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the SGCM |
