Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear window. Refer to Rear Window Replacement.
  2. Place the window (1) on a clean prepared surface.

Installation Procedure

    Important: Apply the window lace moldings in an environment that is free from dust or other dirt that could come into contact with the sticky backing. Foreign material may cause improper adhesion.

  1. Clean around the edge of the inside surface of the window with a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water by volume on a dampened lint free cloth.
  2. Using a heat gun, ensure that the temperature of the window and the lace molding is approximately 29-32°C (85-90°F).

  4. Apply masking tape around the window, 8.5 mm (0.33 in) from the window edge (A), as a guide for locating the window lace molding.
  5. Remove the protective liner from the back of the window lace moldings.

  6. Object Number: 1215279  Size: SH
  7. Position the upper window lace molding (2) and the lower window lace molding (3) to the location tape. Press the molding to the mounting surface.

  8. Object Number: 1326398  Size: SH
  9. Apply equal pressure along the window lace moldings to uniformly bond the molding to the window.
  10. Remove the tape from around the window.
  11. Install the rear window. Refer to Rear Window Replacement.
