Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
  2. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.

Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Bolt (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
1.5 N·m (13 lb in)

Procedure

Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.

Tips

    • Do not remove the centering tab from a new inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil until it has been installed or re-centering will be required.
    • If re-centering of the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil is needed then refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Centering.
