Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1838990 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.

    3. Object Number: 1838999 Size: SH
  3. Remove the MAP sensor bolt and sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1838999 Size: SH
  1. Lubricate the MAP sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the MAP sensor and bolt and tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 1838990 Size: SH
  3. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the MAP sensor.
  4. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
