J 45059 Angle Meter

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.

  3. Object Number: 1835586  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor wiring harness retaining clips (1) and relocate to the side.
  5. Remove the rear muffler from the hangers and lower the muffler to gain access to the upper control arm nut and bolt. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement.

  6. Object Number: 1835736  Size: SH

    Note: Note the that the head of the bolt is facing the front of the vehicle and must be install in the same position.

  7. Remove the upper control arm assembly nut and bolt from the rear support.

  8. Object Number: 1835765  Size: SH
  9. Remove the upper control arm nut and bolt from the knuckle.
  10. Remove the upper control arm from the vehicle through the wheelhouse opening.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1835736  Size: SH
  1. Install the upper control arm in the support.
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the upper control arm nut and bolt. Tighten the upper control arm to support assembly nut to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

  4. Object Number: 1835765  Size: SH
  5. Install the upper control arm nut and bolt in the knuckle. Tighten the upper control arm to knuckle nut to 110 N·m (81 lb ft). Using the J 45059 , rotate an additional 70 degrees.

  6. Object Number: 1835586  Size: SH
  7. Reposition the wheel speed sensor wiring harness retaining clips (1) on the upper control arm.
  8. Install the rear muffler. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement.
  9. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  10. Lower the vehicle.
