Warning:  When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

Preliminary Procedure

1. Disconnect the windshield washer hose. Refer to Windshield Washer Hose Replacement.
2. Disconnect the hood strut rod. Refer to Hood Open Assist Rod Replacement.

Hood Hinge Bolt (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. Mark the location of the hinges to hood.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Transfer any parts as needed.

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)
