Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the instrument panel assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Removal.
2. Remove the HVAC module assembly from the instrument panel assembly. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement.
3. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Pad Replacement.
4. Remove the instrument panel center compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Compartment Replacement.
5. Remove the instrument panel compartment assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
6. Remove the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement.
7. Remove the radio assembly. Refer to Radio Replacement.
8. Remove the center air outlet assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Replacement.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
2.5 N·m (22 lb in)

Instrument Panel Assembly

Procedure

1. Note location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal of the instrument panel assembly to ensure proper reinstallation.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness from the instrument panel assembly.

Instrument Panel Reinforcement Assembly

Procedure

1. Note location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness where it attaches to the instrument panel reinforcement assembly.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness from the instrument panel assembly.
3. When replacing the instrument panel reinforcement assembly, transfer all necessary components.
