Preliminary Procedure

Remove front door switch bezel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Bezel Replacement.

Front Side Door Trim Push-in Retainer (Qty: 2)

Front Side Door Inside Handle Bolt Finish Cap

Tip
Pull handle back to remove cap. Use suitable tool to unsnap.

Front Side Door Inside Handle Screw

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)

Front Side Door Pull Handle Screw (Qty: 2)

Tighten
3 N·m (27 lb in)

Front Side Door Trim Panel Assembly

Procedure

1. Use a J 38778 to aid in the removal of the door trim panel
2. Pull upwards on door lock retainer cable to disengage.
3. Disconnect electrical connectors.
