Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1788908 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the mass airflow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.

    2. Object Number: 1773399 Size: SH
  2. Reposition the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose clamp (1) at the camshaft cover.
  3. Remove the PCV hose from the camshaft cover.

    4. Object Number: 1793870 Size: SH
  4. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct/resonator clamp at the throttle body.
  5. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct/resonator from the throttle body.
  6. Loosen the air cleaner housing screws.
  7. Remove the air cleaner housing.
  8. Remove and discard the air filter assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1793870 Size: SH
  1. Install a NEW air filter assembly.
  2. Insert the air cleaner housing tabs to the air cleaner upper housing.
  3. Tighten the air cleaner housing screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

  4. Install the air cleaner outlet duct/resonator to the throttle body.
  5. Tighten the air cleaner outlet duct/resonator clamp at the throttle body.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the clamp to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  6. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
