Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2008 🢒 Malibu Classic 🢒 Steering 🢒 Power Steering 🢒 Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Inlet Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 1775568 Size: SH
  2. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet pipe from the power steering reservoir.

    3. Object Number: 1775582 Size: SH
  3. Remove the nut (2) and the power steering hose routing clip (1) from the generator bracket stud.

    4. Object Number: 1775613 Size: SH
  4. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet pipe (2) from the power steering gear outlet pipe (3).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1775613 Size: SH
  1. Place the clamp (1) on the power steering gear outlet pipe (3) and install the power steering reservoir inlet pipe (2) to the gear outlet pipe (3).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the power steering hose routing clip (1) and the nut (2) to the generator bracket stud.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 5 N·m (45 lb in).

  3. Position the clamp (1) onto the power steering reservoir inlet pipe and install it to the power steering reservoir.
  4. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement.
  5. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
