Door Ajar Message Displayed With All Doors Closed - keywords DIC display door latch

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A condition has been identified that could cause the door ajar message to be displayed in the Driver Information Center (DIC) when all doors are closed. This condition could be the result of a faulty "electrical portion" of the latch inside any of the vehicles doors.

If the message comes on with all doors closed it is recommended that you open and close all doors individually to cycle the latch and switching mechanism. By doing this you may allow the switch to close and affect the status of the message on the DIC. If you locate the door that keeps this message on with the door closed, remove the door trim panel and replace the door latch assembly.

Note: Do NOT replace the BCM to attempt to repair this condition.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
