Battery Draw Additional Info - keywords crank current dead flashing fluke indicator lamp light no security start theft

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

When checking for excessive battery draw on this vehicle, you might notice a fluctuation of Milli amps on the Fluke meter.

This condition is NORMAL as the theft deterrent light is flashing with the key off. This light flashing on and off (1 time per second) will cause a spike of about 20-30 Milli amps on the fluke meter.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
