Notice: If the intermediate band appears excessively worn or damaged and must
be replaced, soak the new brake band in Dexron®-III automatic transmission
fluid GM P/N 12341643, or equivalent, for two hours prior to installation.
This procedure causes the band material to permeate with fluid, which will
prevent band overheating on first time application.
