BRUISES/WHITE STRESS MARKS REPAIR OF PLASTIC PARTS

If polypropylene parts are found to have bruises or white stress marks, the following procedure should be used before any attempt is made to paint or replace the part.

Using a 750 DEG heat gun and a slow circular hand motion, apply heat to the affected area. Bruises or white stress marks will gradually disappear. Care must be exercised so plastic does not lose its pattern or grain from use of excessive heat.
