🢒 Ignition Control Module Replacement
Ignition Control Module Replacement ICM
Removal Procedure
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the 6-way, 3-way and 2-way ignition control module electrical connectors.
Remove the spark plug wires from the ignition coils.
Remove the screws securing the coils to the ignition control module.
Remove the coils from the ignition control module.
Remove the bolts securing the ignition control module to the module bracket.
Remove the ignition control module.
Installation Procedure
Install the ignition coils to the ignition control module.
Install the screws securing the coil assemblies to the ignition control module.
Tighten
Torque the screws to 4-5 N·m (40 lb. in.).
Install the ignition control module to the module mouting bracket.
Install the ignition control module retaining bolts.
Tighten
Torque the bolts to 10 N·m (90 lb. in.).
Reconnect the 6-way, 3-way and 2-way ignition control module electrical connectors.
Ignition Control Module Replacement Coils
Removal Procedure
Disconnect the spark plug wires.
Remove the screws securing the ignition coil(s) to the ignition control module.
Carefully remove the ignition coil(s) from the ignition coil module.
Installation Procedure
Install the ignition coil(s) to the Ignition control module.
Install the retaining screws.
Tighten
Torque the screws to 4-5 N·m (40 lb. in.).
Install the spark plug wires.
