Does the engine still fail to reach normal operating temperature?

Check for a blockage in the coolant passages.

Are there any blockages in the coolant passages?

Flush the cooling system or flow check the radiator. Refer to Flushing .

Make sure the correct thermostat was installed. Make sure the thermostat is not stuck (or sticks) in the open position.

Was the incorrect thermostat installed, or is the thermostat stuck (or does the thermostat stick) in the open position?

Replace the thermostat. Refer to one of the following procedures:

  1. Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement
  2. Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement

Does the engine still reach normal operating temperature?
