Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement 3100 Engine

Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

  2. Object Number: 70060  Size: SH
  3. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp at the water pump housing.
  4. Disconnect the outlet hose from (3) the water pump housing (1).
  5. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp at the radiator.
  6. Disconnect the outlet hose (3) from the radiator (2). Remove the outlet hose.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 70060  Size: SH
  1. Align the marks on the hose. Install the outlet hose to the radiator.
  2. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition and install the outlet hose (3) to the radiator (2).
  3. Connect the outlet hose (3) to the water pump housing (1).
  4. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition and install the hose clamp at the water pump housing.
  5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling
  6. Inspect for leaks.

Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement 3800 Engine

Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling

  2. Object Number: 70050  Size: SH
  3. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp at the radiator.
  4. Disconnect the outlet hose (3) from the radiator.

  5. Object Number: 308975  Size: SH
  6. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition the hose clamp at the water pump housing.
  7. Disconnect the outlet hose from the water pump housing. Remove the outlet hose.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 308975  Size: SH
  1. Align the marks on the hose. Install the outlet hose to the water pump housing.
  2. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition and install the hose clamp at the water pump housing.

  3. Object Number: 70050  Size: SH
  4. Connect the outlet hose (3) to the radiator.
  5. Use the J 38185 in order to reposition and install the hose clamp at the radiator.
  6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling
  7. Inspect for leaks.
