Coolant Heater Cord Replacement 3100

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 296271  Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine coolant heater cord from the diagonal brace strap.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  3. Object Number: 296285  Size: SH
  4. Carefully cut the engine coolant heater cord straps at the engine wiring harness.
  5. Disconnect the engine coolant heater cord from the engine coolant heater.
  6. Remove the engine coolant heater cord.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 296285  Size: SH
  1. Install the engine coolant heater cord to the vehicle.
  2. Connect the engine coolant heater cord to the engine coolant heater.
  3. Notice: The heater cord must not touch the engine, hot pipes, manifold, or any moving parts. Route the cord to the left front of the engine compartment securing with tie straps as necessary to prevent damage.

  4. Install new engine coolant heater cord straps at the engine wiring harness.
  5. Lower the vehicle.

  7. Install the engine coolant heater cord to the diagonal brace strap. Position the engine coolant heater cord behind the headlamp assembly.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the engine coolant heater cord from the diagonal brace strap.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Cut the engine coolant heater cord straps at the engine wiring harness.
  4. Disconnect the engine coolant heater cord from the engine coolant heater.
  5. Remove the engine coolant heater cord from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine coolant heater cord to the vehicle.
  2. Connect the engine coolant heater cord to the engine coolant heater.
  3. Notice: The heater cord must not touch the engine, hot pipes, manifold, or any moving parts. Route the cord to the left front of the engine compartment securing with tie straps as necessary to prevent damage.

  4. Install new engine coolant heater cord straps at the engine wiring harness.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Install the engine coolant heater cord to the diagonal brace strap. Position the engine coolant heater cord behind the headlamp assembly.
