Removal Procedure
- Remove the instrument panel (IP) cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the instrument cluster screws.
- Rotate the top of the instrument cluster rearward. Carefully lift the bottom of the instrument cluster in order to disengage the locating pins from the IP. Slide the instrument cluster from the IP.
- Disconnect the instrument cluster electrical connector (3) and the instrument cluster wiring harness retaining clips.
- Remove the instrument cluster.
Installation Procedure
- Connect the instrument cluster electrical connector (3) and the instrument cluster wiring harness retaining clips.
- Rotate the top of the instrument cluster rearward slightly. Install the instrument cluster to the IP opening. Install the instrument cluster locating pins into the retainers. Rotate the top of the instrument cluster forward.
- Install the instrument cluster screws.
- Install the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the instrument cluster screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
