  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
  3. Remove the strut from the vehicle.
  4. Place the strut in a vise.
  5. File the upper strut to knuckle attaching hole laterally. Compare before filing (2) to after filing (3).

  1. Install the strut to the vehicle. Do not tighten the bolts yet.
  2. Install the strut to body bolts and install the brake hose bracket.
  3. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Adjust the camber (1).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the strut to knuckle nuts to 120 N·m (88 lb ft).

  8. Check the toe after changing the camber. Refer to Rear Toe Adjustment .
