Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement Stab. Shaft Link Insulator

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 176752  Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the stabilizer shaft link bolt (5).
  3. Separate the bracket and remove the insulator.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the insulator and the stabilizer link to the stabilizer shaft.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the stabilizer shift link bolt (5).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the stabilizer shaft link bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb  ft).

  5. Lower the vehicle.

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the rear stabilizer shaft link bolt/screw (5).
  3. Remove the rear stabilizer shaft link to bracket bolt/screw (4).
  4. Remove the link (6) from the bracket (9).
  5. Remove the link (6) from the stabilizer shaft (10).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   1. Install the link (6) to the stabilizer shaft (10).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the stabilizer shaft link to stabilizer shaft bolt/screw (5) to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  3. Install the link (6) to the bracket (9).
  4. Install the rear stabilizer shaft link to body bracket bolt/screw (4).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the stabilizer shaft link to body bracket bolt/screw to 48 N·m (35 lb ft).

  6. Lower the vehicle.
