Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle Floor Shift

Disassembly Procedure

  1. Remove the tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .
  2. Remove the hazard knob. Refer to Hazard Warning Switch Replacement .
  3. Remove the turn signal switch lever. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .
  4. Remove the pivot and pulse dimmer switch assembly. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

  5. Object Number: 387387  Size: SH
  6. Remove the 3 binding head cross recess screws (1) from the turn signal switch assembly (2).
  7. If removal of the turn signal switch assembly (2) is not needed let it hang freely.
  8. Important: Use care not to damage the wires when pulling through the lock housing cover and sleeve assembly (3).

  9. Remove the turn signal switch assembly connector from the lock housing cover and sleeve assembly following these steps:
  10. 7.1. Remove the turn signal switch assembly connector from the bulkhead connector.
    7.2. Attach mechanics wire to the turn signal switch assembly connector for reassembly.
    7.3. Pull the turn signal switch assembly connector through the lock housing cover and sleeve assembly.

Disassembly Procedure

  1. Remove the tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .
  2. Remove the hazard knob. Refer to Hazard Warning Switch Replacement.
  3. Remove the turn signal switch lever. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .
  4. Remove the pivot and pulse dimmer switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Upper Bearing Inner Race - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

  6. Remove the 3 binding head cross recess screws (1) from the turn signal switch assembly (2).
  7. If removal of the turn signal switch assembly (2) is not needed let it hang freely.

  9. Remove the turn signal switch assembly connector from the lock housing cover and sleeve assembly following these steps:
  10. 7.1. Remove the turn signal switch assembly connector from the bulkhead connector.

    7.3. Pull the turn signal switch assembly connector through the lock housing cover and sleeve assembly.
