Do the turn signal indicator lamps illuminate when the turn signals are operating?

  1. Set the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  2. Set the IP dimmer to maximum brightness.

Do the heater-A/C control illumination lamps illuminate?

  1. Set the headlamp switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  3. Set the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  4. Set the IP dimmer to maximum brightness.
  5. Use a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM) in order to probe between the instrument cluster harness connector terminal C5 and ground and between terminal C6 and ground.

Is the measured voltage within the specified range for both terminals?

9-14 Volts

  1. Inspect the warning indicator bulb and the bulb connection.
  2. If OK, replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Repair a poor connection or an open in CKT 8 between the instrument cluster harness connector terminal C5 and S203 or between terminal C6 and S203.

  1. Inspect the system for an open in CKT 150 between the instrument cluster harness connector terminal D3 and G205.
  2. If OK, replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
