Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.1L or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the pressure sensor.

  3. Object Number: 277955  Size: SH
  4. Remove the A/C pressure sensor (1) from the evaporator line.

Installation Procedure

    Important: Lubricate the new O-ring seal with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

  1. Install a new O-ring seal.

  2. Object Number: 277955  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the A/C pressure sensor (1) to the evaporator line.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the A/C pressure sensor to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector at the pressure sensor.
  6. Install the air cleaner and duct assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.1L or Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L.
