Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 291681  Size: SH
  1. Move the front seat (1 or 2) to the full rearward position.
  2. If the vehicle is equipped with a six-way power seat, move the seat to the full rearward and up position in order to gain access to the adjuster-to-floor pan attaching bolts.

  3. Remove the forward front seat anchor bolts (5).
  4. Move the seat to the full-forward position.
  5. Remove the rearward front seat rear anchor bolts (3).
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector (4) on the six-way power seat.
  7. Remove the center belt (6) on the AM6 drivers seat. Refer to Seat Belt Replacement - Center Front
  8. Remove the front seat from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the seat in the vehicle.
  2. Install the center seat belt (6) on the AM6 drivers seat. Refer to Seat Belt Replacement - Center Front
  3. Connect the electrical connector (4) on the six-way power seat.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the rearward front seat anchor bolts (3).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the rearward front seat anchor bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  7. Place the seat to the full-rearward position.
  8. Install the forward front seat anchor bolts (5).
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the forward front seat anchor bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  10. Return the front seat to its origional position.
