Removal Procedure
- Apply the parking brake.
- Grasp the front floor
console storage tray and carefully pull the tray toward you in order to release
the retainers. Remove the front floor console storage tray.
- Remove the font floor console storage compartment liner.
- Remove the front floor console screws (3,4).
- Remove the console shift control handle clip.
- Remove the console shift control handle.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Adjust the console shift control lever as required. Remove the
front floor console from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front floor
console to the vehicle.
- Adjust the console shift control lever to the Park position.
- Connect the electrical connectors.
- Install the console shift control handle.
- Install the console shift control handle clip.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front
floor console screws (3,4).
Tighten
Tighten the front floor console screws to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
- Install the font floor console storage compartment liner.
- Install the front floor console storage tray.
- Push to release the parking brake.
