Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 15093  Size: SH
  1. Remove the injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in engine mechanical.

  2. Object Number: 178680  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the TP sensor electrical connector.

  4. Object Number: 178693  Size: SH
  5. Remove the two TP sensor attaching screws.

  6. Object Number: 178694  Size: SH
  7. Remove the TP sensor.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the TP sensor to the throttle body assembly.

  2. Object Number: 178693  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the two TP sensor attaching screws, using a thread-locking compound on the screws. Loctite 262® , GM Part No. 1052624, or equivalent should be used.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the TP sensor attaching screws to 2.0 N·m (18 in lb)

  5. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 49594  Size: SH
  7. Reinstall the injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in engine mechanical.
