Caution: An electric fan under the hood can start up even when the engine is not running and can injure you. Keep hands, clothing and tools away from any underhood electric fan.

Caution: To help avoid personal injury or damage to the vehicle, a bent, cracked, or damaged fan blade or housing should always be replaced.

Important: If abnormal noise or vibration is felt from the engine compartment, inspect and clean any foreign material from the cooling fan blades.

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the cooling fans with the cooling fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .
3. Firmly grasp the cooling fan. Turn the drive plate nut in order to disengage the fan retainers.
4. Remove the cooling fan.

1. Install the cooling fan.
2. Firmly grasp the cooling fan. Turn the drive plate nut in order to engage the fan retainers.
3. Install the cooling fans with the cooling fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .
