Front Fog Lamp Replacement Impala
Removal Procedure
- Remove the screw from
the fog lamp.
- Remove the fog lamp from the front bumper fascia.
- Disconnect the electrical
connector from the fog lamp bulb.
- Remove the fog lamp bulb, turning counterclockwise.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fog lamp bulb,
turning clockwise.
- Connect the electrical connector to the fog lamp.
- Install the fog lamp to the front bumper fascia.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screw to the
fog lamp.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
Front Fog Lamp Replacement Monte Carlo
Removal Procedure
- Remove the headlamp. Refer
to
Headlamp Assembly or Headlamp Bulb and/or Cornering, Sidemarker, Park, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement
.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the fog lamp.
- Remove the bulb from the socket, turning counterclockwise.
- Remove the push-on clips using a small flat bladed tool.
- Remove the screw from
the fog lamp.
- Remove the fog lamp from the front bumper fascia.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fog lamp to
the front bumper fascia location tabs.
- Install the push-on clips to the front bumper fascia location
tabs, pressing on until fully seated.
- Install the bulb to the socket, turning clockwise.
- Connect the electrical connector from the fog lamp.
