Spot Lamp Bulb Replacement Impala RPO 7X6, 7X7

1. Remove the spot lamp wiring harness push-in retainer from the windshield garnish molding, using a small flat bladed tool.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Important: Hold the spot lamp seal beam in position.




3. Remove the screws from the spot lamp bezel.



4. Remove the spot lamp bezel from the spot lamp.



5. Remove the sealbeam from the spot lamp.



6. Loosen the screws to the electrical connectors on the back of the spot lamp sealbeam.



7. Remove the electrical connectors from the back of the spot lamp sealbeam.
8. Remove the sealbeam from the spot lamp.

1. Connect the electrical connectors to the back of the sealbeam.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.




2. Tighten the spotlamp bulb screws.

Tighten
Tighten the spotlamp bulb screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).





Important: The sealbeam must be clocked in the UP position, refer to the emblem on the face of the sealbeam.

3. Install the sealbeam to the spot lamp.



4. Hold the spot lamp seal beam in position.
5. Install the spot lamp bezel to the spot lamp.



6. Install the spot lamp bezel screws.

Tighten
Tighten the spot lamp bezel screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).




7. Install the spot lamp wiring harness push-in retainer from the windshield garnish molding, using a small flat bladed tool.
8. Connect the electrical connector.
9. Inspect the spot lamp for proper operation.
