  1. Set ignition switch to RUN.
  2. Backprobe from the wiper/washer switch connector, terminal A3, to ground using a J 35616-200 .

Repair the open in CKT 243. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Set the wiper switch to HI.
  2. Connect the J 35616-200 from the wiper/washer switch connector, terminal D3, to ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Test for high resistance or an open in CKTs 243 and 92. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  2. Connect the J 35616-200 from the wiper motor connector, terminal C, to ground.

Connect the J 35616-200 from the wiper motor connector, terminal C to terminal A.

Inspect for a poor connection to the wiper motor. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
